Share & Learn Community of Practice Resource Page
The IHPN Share & Learn Community of Practice provides member organisations with the opportunity to share and learn from incidents, complaints, patient feedback and actual or possible emerging concerns pertaining to patient safety and quality.
A Community of Practice is a group of individuals who come together to share ideas, develop expertise, share best practice and solve problems around a topic of interest. It is a safe and confidential space for curiosity, openness with a willingness to challenge, to be challenged and to put forward solutions.
Subject matter experts such as Human Factor and national investigators are invited to contribute to the meetings to support enhanced incident insight and outcomes. Consultants are also encouraged to join the Community of Practice to share case studies and to contribute to the shared learnings and outcomes.
Learnings from the case studies discussed at the Community of Practice are shared with all IHPN members via a newsletter with the main ambition being improvement in sharing and learning from patient safety incidents and management and sharing of best practice across the independent sector.
