CQC – Overall Quality

The CQC lists over 5,000 independent healthcare locations on its database. These cover all aspects of healthcare, which we explore in depth below. 

Generally, independent healthcare is rated very positively by the CQC with over 89% of overall ratings for independent healthcare organisations being good or outstanding.  

The plot below shows the percentage of independent organisations with ratings that are good or outstanding for all categories that have at least 20 overall ratings: 

This report will focus on those areas most relevant to IHPN members with more detail below, i.e.: 

• Acute hospitals 

• Community provision 

• GPs 

• Independent doctors
