Following the publication of Lord Darzi’s report into the NHS, IHPN have written to the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, Rt Hon Wes Streeting MP, setting out the sector’s commitment to work alongside him and his colleagues in the NHS to build a healthcare system that is fit for the future.
Outlining the integral role independent providers play in the provision of NHS care, whether in primary, community, diagnostic, clinical insourcing, or hospital services, IHPN’s CEO David Hare affirms the sector’s commitment to play our part in recovering and renewing the service the long-term so that it provides patients and the public with the best possible treatment and support.
Acknowledging that the Darzi Review must be a turning point in the right direction for the NHS – setting us back on track to deliver a health service that is better than ever, David makes clear that “Independent healthcare is a crucial part of that service, and we are ready to get started.”
