Openness and Culture

The sector continues to come together on its commitment to work with partners across the health system to make care safer. This includes alignment with key national policies and priorities within the NHS Patients Safety Strategy and we remain grateful for those patient safety leaders who engage and include the sector in this work. Within IHPN we continue to expand our clinical networks and areas of work. 

Supporting and nurturing an open learning culture has long been recognised as crucially important to improve patient safety and health care quality. That is why IHPN and our members have welcomed initiatives that support openness, playing our role in national initiatives as well as facilitating dialogue, learning and sharing within the sector.
