Appendix: Other UK Healthcare Regulators

Inspection reports in other UK countries tend to be of a more narrative nature which means it is not currently possible to provide the same graphical presentation for independent healthcare services in Scotland and Wales or Northern Ireland as it is for England.

Healthcare Improvement Scotland (HIS) is the regulator in Scotland and in Wales, Healthcare Inspectorate Wales (HIW). IHPN has one member organisation in Northern Ireland whose regulator is the Regulation and Quality Improvement Authority (RQIA).
